About Dr. Jenkins

Dr. Jenkins has undergone advanced training to develop the knowledge and skill necessary to evaluate and treat not only spinal related conditions, but also many other injuries and issues within the body.  Whether it is pain in the foot from Plantar Fasciitis or pain in the shoulder from Impingement Syndrome, Dr. Jenkins is capable of determining the potential for cause and offering a myriad of conservative treatment options to the patient for resolution the condition.

Dr. Jenkins utilizes many different and complimenting methods in the normal treatment protocols with his patients.  From more traditional chiropractic spinal manipulation to a more advanced use of manual decompression and low force instrument applied adjustments.  He utilizes basic stretching techniques as well as state of the art Active Release Technique for treatment of soft tissue injuries.  Other physical modalities that are common in treatments include Electric Muscle Stimulation, Infrared Light Therapy, and Ultrasound.  With certain conditions, Dr. Jenkins utilizes the emerging science and art of Physiotherapy taping to assist and support the patient outside of the office.

Dr. Jenkins treats athletes of all ages and abilities from elementary school beginners to masters level champions.  These patients seek and find benefit to many different types of aches and pains in their back, neck arms and legs.  This treatment allows for better performance during training and practice and ultimately pays off during competition.

Dr. Jenkins has been involved in sport and exercise for recreation and competition since childhood.  Over the years Dr. Jenkins has participated in basketball, soccer, baseball, football, lacrosse, swimming, lifeguard competitions, running road races, road bike races, and triathlons.  He continues to maintain an active lifestyle and a deep passion for surfing making his practice at the Jersey shore an ideal location for him.
